Who We Are:
Chicago Powerstrikers is a competitive soccer club, with boys and girls teams participating in the Illinois Women's Soccer League and the Young Sportmen's Soccer League. The club takes pride in being parent coached, and all coaches are licensed with US Soccer.
Our home field is based at Northeastern Illinois University and we draw players from the diverse northwest neighborhoods of Chicago and immediate suburbs.
To teach our players to love the game of soccer through positive and dedicated instruction and to give them the skills they need to play in high school and beyond.
We are an organization of volunteers working together and dedicated to the athletic and social development of our children through the game of soccer.
Congratulations to the 2005 girls team for finishing 3rd in a very competitive C Division of the IWSL with a 6-4 record! (In fact, just a single point separated the top three teams.)
The team's development and accomplishments throughout 2016 have been strong: a 2nd place finish this past Spring in the D division, followed by a 2nd place preseason finish at Schaumburg SoccerFest, and then a close 3rd place this Fall campaign. The girls' growth in possession and attacking has been solid, and our defense (anchored by Katie, Sydnie, Kaia, and Veronica) continues to play exceptionally well.
In the attack, the following players found the back of the net this Fall: Mia (7 goals), Emma S (3), Lola (2), Molly (1), Sydnie (1), Veronica (1), and Elsa (1). And these players provided assists: Sydnie (3), Emma S (2), Molly (2), Mia (2), Lola (1), Kaia (1), Emma K (1), and Sofia (1).
The Chicago Powerstrikers earned 2nd place in the White Division at the 13th Annual 2016 Schaumburg SoccerFest tournament! Despite coming out on the short end of a 2-1 score in the championship, the girls are all smiles after playing with toughness, composure, and excellent sportsmanship in every game over the weekend.
